I would say that I am a spiritual seeker that has been hunting for the truth since I was around 12 years old, Sometimes I feel like do not have enough hours in the day and sometimes feel like my spiritual pursuits have gone wayside. I like many others would love to live a more spiritual and religious life, But as a mum to 3 children and a full time job I just do not find time to do it all. I often think of how great it would be to move away from it all and spend the rest of my time on earth seeking self –realisation, is the answer to disappear into the mountains and give everything up until I have become an enlightened human being? Sure this would be great but it is also almost impossible, I believe we can all find spirituality in the world we already live in.
You do not have to spend every hour of every day meditating to find spirituality. Every day we are given opportunities to practice spirituality, Life allows us to confront people that perhaps put our patience to the test maybe even try and hijack our inner peace. I believe we all have lessons every day that we are supposed to learn from. All this drama is for one reason only and that is our spiritual growth.
A little spirituality every day is better than none at all.
Sometimes it is as simple as just stopping for just a moment and taking in my surroundings. I try every day to become a better person, I try to be more mindful, thoughtful, generous and more soul-centered,

every day I try and build my character and look for the spiritual answers to my lifes problems. I am not saying any of this is easy I am after all only human, and everyone has a bad day. But I am determined to not take the easy path. Sometimes the day passes me by without having time to sit in silence and meditate. I have now and again been known to be very stubborn and refuse to let go of my own ego to win an argument with my boyfriend but I am learning that when I do fall off the path. To just keep on going and start over.
Looking for spirituality
I try to make everyday part of my spiritual practice, when things go wrong my first instinct is to try and work out why it has happened and what I can learn from this. I see everything as a learning process and I am slowly but surely learning to give thanks as each and every day, whether it is being stuck in a traffic jam, or a shop assistant being rude, often I find that all the children school trips need paying at the same time my car tax is due and the window cleaner knocks on the door for payment. But every day my spiritual quotient is going up a notch, who can’t be thankful for that.
