Hello, I’m Astrologer Patrick Arundell, and here is your Astrology Overview Video for WC 16th of December. The first two days of the week see's the ending of the Jupiter Saturn trine which has been providing so much help of late. If something has been shaping up slowly but surely, you may see particular evidence of this across Monday and Tuesday.

Also on Tuesday, Uranus ends a five and a half month backward journey. This retrograde essentially focuses our minds on the issues of independence and freedom. Unfortunately it doesn't change the fact that Uranus broadly still squares up with Pluto, a difficult aspect, which can great a lot of nervous tension as conservatism battles with the desire for radical change. This can be played out on the world stage but also inside our own lives too.
From Wednesday through to Sunday Uranus is in opposition to Mars. This can be a very enlivening or turbulent influence. Mars in Libra is in its detriment, and of course Mars is the ruler of Aries too which is where paradoxically Uranus is located. This aspect can make us all rather on edge or overly impatient and irritable. We need to try to improve the qualities of the Zodiac sign of Libra which is more about diplomacy, developing our listening skills and try to find consensus. It's going to be important to be a rebel with a cause with this aspect.

However happily, the Sun does forge a great link with Venus all this week, suggesting when it comes to the festivities, some good stuff can be bubbling away. By Saturday it's Venus’s turn to go into a retrograde which will run on until virtually the end of January. This pushes us to be more sincere in our communications in relationships and especially in the earthy sign of Capricorn. Speaking of which the week ends with the Sun returning into Capricorn for the first time in eleven months. With Pluto of course already located in the sign, this is the beginning of a period of great focus on the 10th member of the Zodiac. Remember the Goat is ruled by Saturn, the planet of structure, and its elements is Earth. Because of this we can gain from its encouragement to be more practical and pragmatic about situations.
