Graham returns for a 2nd show to discuss his debut book, Avenues of the Human Spirit published by O Books. Graham shares his journey growing up as young boy in London where the real threat of constant violence was never too far away. At this time he was also having many vivid precognitive out-of-body experiences. Graham is now using his own journey to recognise the different paths one can take given the experiences and influences we are subjected to.

Synopsis
Avenues of the Human Spirit takes us on a compelling journey through many life-changing experiences towards a greater sense of spiritual fulfillment. Genuine life changing experiences such as perceptions through time, out-of-body experiences and a profound spiritual awakening illustrate how the author reached a philosophy of benevolence and freedom that we too can draw upon in our everyday lives. These Avenues of the Human Spirit are the ecstatic changes we can experience beyond our bodies, in deep meditation or removed from the everyday world in nature, but they are also the everyday choices we make that define our world. The author's spiritual awareness has also grown from an understanding of the spectrum of human experience, from the harsher sides of his childhood in working class London to the joys of spiritual exploration. The result of these combined perceptions is what makes Avenues of the Human Spirit a unique and life-affirming book.
About Graham
Graham Nicholls was born in London, England in 1975. From a young age he underwent various unusual experiences including visions, clairvoyant perceptions and later out-of-body experiences. Although his youth was also coloured by social problems, these experiences and the environment of London inspired in him a respect for other cultures and spiritual philosophies. As a teenager he began an exploration of his psychical experiences that would take him around the world and lead him to educate himself in a wide range of areas including science, mysticism and philosophy.
Graham als
o studied fine art, photography and documentary film at university. He had his first one person exhibition in Soho, New York City in July 1999 and has gone on to exhibit widely around the world. In 2004 he exhibited a large-scale virtual reality project at the Science Museum in London, which was based on a psychical perception of London's landscape and people. His work has allowed the public to experience a new perspective on art as well as what their consciousness might be capable of.
Outside of his artistic works he has also lectured widely on his spiritual and psychical viewpoints both in the UK and abroad. His first lecture was given in Oxford to an audience of academics, specialists and the general public. This first lecture was very well received and resulted in him being invited to talk at a large conference at Conway Hall in central London the following year. Since then he has run workshops, retreats and given many more lectures at venues such as Cambridge University, The London College of Spirituality and the Science Museum.
In 2004 he set-up the Shahmai Network, an organisation with a focus on spiritual philosophy and social activism. Their first social involvement was to become official members of the Make Poverty History campaign.
In early 2009 he wrote an article for Kindred Spirit magazine offering a retrospective of his out-of-body experiences over the last twenty years. The article also explores how he uses his art to further engage the public with his ideas on extended consciousness. He is also currently researching telepathy and precognition with author and biologist Rupert Sheldrake, as part of the Perrott-Warrick Project, supported by Trinity College, Cambridge.
Since around 2004 Graham Nicholls has appeared in most of the major press as a result of interest in his art, spiritual experiences as well as more recently for his views on relationships. He has also been interviewed in: The Times, The Independent, The Telegraph and on BBC radio, as well as many overseas and independent publications, radio and TV. He is also featured in three books by other authors.
