Lately, we've heard extensive discussion about the issues of our time: the economy, climate change, the Iraq war, the deficit and skyrocketing oil prices. What will sustain us through the shifting sands of these times?
In the paperback book: The Living Word of Kuan Yin http://www.amazon.com/Living-Word-Kuan-Yin/dp/1419646400 and the e-book: The Living Word of Kuan Yin II http://ebooks.ebookmall.com/ebook/275300-ebook.htm, Kuan Yin says: "harder times might be coming. There may be a lot of chaos. People are going to have to (more than ever) rely upon spiritual practice. The only way to remain strong is to pray for others. Don’t get too depleted.”

“Kuan Yin is showing me something very interesting. I see the large diamond and realize it is also a flower. I see a beautiful flower and realize it is simultaneously a diamond. She is explaining how enormous wealth is not necessarily materialistic. There is the clean and clear wealth of higher consciousness. It is devoid of the depraved energy that can be attached to money. This is the “pure wealth”: the wealth of higher consciousness. I’m being shown a dimension, a plane, wherein the pure wealth of consciousness is a reality. It is reality where everyone is loved, where everyone is fed and healthy. Kuan Yin is showing me around this dimension. She’s showing me the good-heartedness of the energies that live here. There is someone walking on the path above, looking down to where the people are. I’m being shown how everyone is simultaneously aware; that if someone loves, they all feel love. If someone gives, they all give. And if someone is hurting, they all feel the hurt. Those who dwell in this reality are one and separate at the same time. That’s why this reality works.”

Fortunately or unfortunately prosperity is the societal and personal litmus test. Actually, to just be alive is prosperity! Because of societal norms, however, people tend to want much more. It is perfectly normal to desire. What personally counts, however, are life aspirations and goals.
Utilizing one's free will and unique creative mode, one leaps into "the waters of consciousness". Such courageous choices, however, require a full understanding of the correct protocols involved in awakening to one's power and, indeed, most expansive humanity.
Kuan Yin insists personal reality is a result of one’s mindset: a powerful gestalt of thoughts, beliefs, emotions and that the present is our "way out" of limiting realities. Further, each individual is endowed with free will: the power to envision any possibility, creating one’s most expansive reality. Kuan Yin also maintains that each belief/intention/emotion pattern has its own unique vibration. As like vibration attracts like vibration it is crucial to analyze his or her life circumstances as they mirror one's own beliefs. If you believe you are "not enough" or you do not "have enough" you will always be dissatisfied. This is antithetical to a "prosperous mindset". If you believe you are "better than" or in "competition with" others, you can never be in your "moment to moment" consciousness.
But what is a "prosperous mindset"? Chasing after the "Jones" won't necessarily bring personal happiness. Happiness should always be considered a relative term. Whether instant or long term, gratification and happiness will ultimately match one's deepest sensibilities—wherever one is on that spectrum. Upon this happiness "foundation" we are already in prosperity. We can then decide the direction for the road ahead. And then, brick by brick; build the road:

“Let the magic happen. It is always there. Abundance and love are always there. Believe in the highest good,” proclaims Kuan Yin. “There is a higher essence to everything. The realm you’re in has a heaviness that mutes energy. You can penetrate through it, no matter how dark and heavy. Sometimes it has nothing to do with karma. Just don’t forget to keep it open. Don’t get too bogged down…"
“The diamond is what Kuan Yin wants to give to me. It is for personal reasons,” trance channel Lena Lees explains.
“Prosperity can happen at any time,” assures Kuan Yin. “I want to give you everything that you need. Focus on that symbol (the diamond) of prosperity. Taking that first step is what you need. Hope too, say and believe that more and more you can have all the possibilities. It is your mantra. I want you both to believe and be open to receiving. Maybe you can imagine a crystal in the place of a real diamond. Focus upon it and breathe in what it represents (it’s energy) to those areas of the body that need healing. Practice the meditation of seeing me holding and givi

ng you this huge, chunky diamond. Remember this diamond doesn’t just represent material wealth. Its myriad facets also represent consciousness, love and all other forms of abundance. Practice receiving it,” instructs Kuan Yin. “We’ve been meeting like this for some months now. I’ve taken you on these journeys and you know you can return (to normal waking existence) any time you wish. However, I want you to take the diamond we have been discussing, receive all that it stands for. When you place this imaginary diamond on your solar plexus, visualize its potency and value—the highest and safest feelings going into your stomach. I want you to bring that light into your body. Practice that,” instructs Kuan Yin.

Prosperity Versus Poverty Consciousness

"Continue down the path that makes you feel fulfilled. Those who continue on an unrewarding path for the sake of only monetary gain are displaying a lack of trust in life. Continuing in such a mistrustful way will only bring impoverishment. Following one’s heart, continuing on one’s divine path brings abundance." Kuan Yin

To a greater degree, Western civilization embraces a prosperity mindset. Specifically, that we can make our dreams come true. What differentiates prosperity versus poverty consciousness? Clearly, Kuan Yin states that a poverty consciousness is assuming the worst and always worrying about money. More recent "New Age" teachings assume that money need not be a degenerative force: that how it is spent and directed is what matters.

According to Kuan Yin, it is of foremost importance to comprehend the beautiful paradox--that we all possess our uniqueness and individuality while remaining part of the One: “The God force is separate and not separate, whole and not whole at the same time. Really, it is not “sliceable”, not reducible. Even when it is sliced into individual energies, it does not diminish the total God force or the power of the individual.” Offering Her powerful spiritual techniques for achieving the "Kuan Yin spirit", the goddess elucidates that we are “straight slivers coming from a central ball of light. These straight slivers of light become a person who "plays out adventures from his or her beliefs". Momentarily estranged from his or her God Self, an individual may forget he or she is the sliver and the ball of light. Taking things too personally, clinging to the narrow vision, one can become overwhelmed by pain and suffering.”
As ego sometimes has a tendency to cleave to the more “narrow vision”, meditation upon Oneness allows a respite from ego’s limited, in time perspective. Referring to the alpha or trance state as the “peace brainwave”, Kuan Yin declares prayer and meditation as important components for one’s daily spiritual routine. Besides meditation, allow time during your daily routine for friendship and laughter. Make time for family activities that bring joy and connection.

Stating we "create everything from our thoughts", Kuan Yin wants us to take time from our day to also appreciate the wonders of nature: “Don’t forget to marvel at the wonders of the world.” reminds Kuan Yin. “Remember to marvel at these things when you’ve had enough, for the time being, of the human realm. Science helps one marvel. Scientists don’t think of themselves as being spiritual. However, the knowledge they bring to the world is very spiritual,” affirms Kuan Yin. “There are marvels under the sea. There are great examples in nature of how to behave, live in harmony. Observe, for example, the geese, how they stay in perfect chevron formation, while flying towards their destination.”

Any Kuan Yin list concerning achieving higher consciousness and the spiritual abundance it brings would be incomplete without mentioning compassion. Regarded in the East as the “goddess of compassion”, Kuan Yin wants us to know that the earth plane is a wonderful opportunity to develop humility and compassion. She cautions, however, that there is a vast difference between pity and compassion:

“You can help teach the world about empathy. If you’d rather I use the words “loving kindness” that’s fine. Empathy or loving-kindness! They’re the same. But remember, they’re very different from guilt or pity. Having true empathy is to understand other’s pain and suffering from a place of power.”

Finally, Kuan Yin wants us to understand that we have limitless power to imagine the possibilities: “Kuan Yin is showing me something, a tube, I think. I don’t fully understand this diagram. It's as if one end is the past, the other the future. The middle of the tube, the present, is our way, our vehicle for changing reality.”
