For most of us, finding our higher purpose in life, least of all carrying it out, is hard work despite the fact we are told that what we were born to do can be found in all aspects of life. As a consequence, we can find ourselves fumbling around wandering directionless through life, seemingly goalless, in the hope that one-day we will find what it is we are searching for. The problem is we don’t know what we are looking for or how to find it, or do we? To gain some clarity, perhaps it is worth looking at this from a different perspective:
From the premise that we all chose our life's path before we are born, it’s impossible for you not to fulfil your life’s work. The fact that you don’t know what your purpose is may be both frustrating and annoying for you, but it isn’t essential that you do know. Rather than there being many purposes in life, there is but one, which is to serve life by way of learning to self-actualize, a process that takes many lifetimes to achieve. This one purpose has both a charmeleonic and metamorphic energy that is applied to all aspects of life.
Your uniqueness demands that this single purpose remains forever open to interpretation, which means you have the right to express this sameness by exercising your right to choose how you wish to serve life, which all of us do through trial and error.
You are your life’s work; everything you do has purpose, the fact that you may not be consciously aware of where you are going, what you're doing or why, it is irrelevant. Your higher-self, which is in cahoots with your subconscious, does. As a consequence, you serve life and yourself by living it to the best of your ability, and there isn't a soul alive that can do better than that. Although an external goal would be nice for you to work toward, you don’t need one because the internal process of self-actualization is a life long process, in other words you are your goal.
A life path is the unvarnished, truthful, realistic you - which includes the best of who you are as well as the worst. This complex yet simple issue falls under the headings of the Work It Takes To Be A Human Being and The Relationship You Have With Yourself. However, there is no doubt that for some, their life work is to be found and expressed through their career, relationships, hobbies and activities or they to consciously commit to undertaking a journey of self-discovery. Even so, when it comes to ones life's work, it's worth remembering that a person who has an external goal to work toward is no more or less successful than someone who is working intrinsically within. There are many guidance systems that are available to you and one of them is consulting with someone such as myself. So if you want to receive spiritual guidance regarding your purpose in life, get in touch.
