“Every thought we think is creating our future.” - Louise Hay
How often is that you actively and consciously think about what you are creating?
Take a meal you eat, for example. When you sit down to eat a meal what thoughts typically go through your mind? Whether or not your thoughts are about whether you’ve cooked it yourself, or had it cooked for you, how often do you actually think how great it is that you’ve created and manifested the actual meal itself?
Sorry – lots of questions to start this week’s musings, but I wanted to get you thinking about an every day thing that you create and/or manifest for yourself which you, may well, do unconsciously.
You see, there are so many things that we do for ourselves each day, without a thought about what it is we are actually doing. As I mentioned already, making a meal, but what about making a drink? Having a shower or bath? Writing a letter or email? Further, what about the thoughts, mood, and feelings we create within ourselves? What kind of atmosphere are we creating around us?
It can be quite easy to fall into the mindset of “creation” being just about art, or the work we do for a living. Because we cook dinner, or make a cup of tea almost every single day, we may not perceive these things as creating and manifesting – but they are!
Every day, almost without consciously doing so, we set our intention to manifest food and drink, and anything else we need for the day. When was the last time you stopped to think about what you were actually creating while you were creating it? Because so much of what we create can appear as mundane or “every day stuff” we forget that we actually manifested and created it in the first place.
Here’s the thing: because, in many ways, we’ve become complacent creators, we’ve forgotten how powerful we really are. We take for granted the small things we create because they seem so unimportant. But they’re not! When you create a meal for yourself, chances are you’ve bought the ingredients from a shop, you’ve cooked them using a gas or electric cooker, you serve the food on plates and use cutlery that you’ve bought from another shop. Do you see? That meal you’ve created is not just preparing your dinner, it’s also created work (and an income) for other people too. Thus the circle of life continues. Creating your meal has helped enable someone else to create theirs.
We are incredibly powerful creators and it’s time we took responsibility for what we create in our lives. It’s time we became Conscious Creators and appreciate just how powerful we really are.
Living in the present moment is the key to Conscious Creating. While eating your evening meal, instead of thinking about what has happened during the day, or what might happen tomorrow, focus instead upon what it is you’ve created to eat. Don’t take for granted your ability to create and manifest what you want in your life.
With each breath, you continually create your life. By focusing upon your breath, you are living in the present moment. Love yourself and approve of yourself, and get creating from a space of consciousness, and appreciation.
