Operation Starlight - 1958-1961

Operation Starlight, began on Holdstone Down, N. Devonshire, England on July 23, 1958 and ended on August 23, 1961. During this three-year mission, 19 mountains around the world were forever charged with powerful Spiritual energies through Dr. George King as a "human channel." Dr. King was instructed by the Cosmic Masters to physically climb 18 of these 19 mountains, four of which were in the U.S.A. - Mount Baldy, S. California, Mount Tallac, N. California, Mount Adams, New Hampshire; and Castle Peak, Colorado.

''Within these mountains (Charged in Operation Starlight) lies the Power to materialise the dreams of all occult students, if only they were to realise it! To manifest their dreams of Evolution and Ascension it only needs the continual use of the great Powers within these Holy Rocks of Mother Earth. Then - after continual use through several life times - They will realise their dreams! For to stand on these Holy Places in Prayer, is to give Service to all mankind, and Service is the keyword to Evolution and continued experience on this Planet.''

- Keith Robertson (Part of the Operation Starlight Team which accompanied Dr King on Mount Adams on March 15th, 1960)

Dr George King on the charging of Mount Adams:

''A tremendous surge of terrific Energy went deep into the great mass of that mountain, making it forever - a Holy Place. I felt the very mountain vibrate beneath me. The Charge was manipulated by that mighty Cosmic Master - Mars Sector 6!''

Shortly after the Charging of yet another New Age Power Centre, Mars Sector 6 relayed to Dr King this message to be given to the world:

'This mountain is now charged with energies which when activated correctly will manifest in that balance necessary to heal those Terrestrials whose karmic pattern allows such intervention. If you would Serve your brothers, come ye to the summit, activate this potential and radiate these energies to all who need such help.''

The primary energy crisis on Earth today is the spiritual energy crisis. If this crisis were solved, no other energy crises would exist. The problem, as Dr. King has explained it, is that people put their “gross physical energy desires” before their “spiritual energy needs”. It is practical applied spirituality – spirituality united with an open-minded yet precise scientific approach – which will herald the dawn of a new and better world for all.

It has been stated by Saint Goo-Ling, an ancient Ascended Master of the Spiritual Hierarchy of Earth, that the most potent spiritual practice in these days is to perform The Twelve Blessings on one of these Holy Mountains during a Spiritual Push.

It's interesting to note that in New England, some two years BEFORE the Charging of Mount Adams this area was being Blessed by a gentle, and humble Soul called Peace Pilgrim.

Peace Pilgrim was born on a small farm in the East in the early part of the century, she grew from modest roots and, like many people, gradually acquired money and things. When she realized this self-centered life had become meaningless, and worldly goods burdens to her rather than blessings, she walked all one night through the woods until she felt "a complete willingness, without any reservations, to give my life to God and service."

She gradually and methodically adopted a life of voluntary simplicity. She began what was to be a fifteen-year period of preparation, not knowing just what it was she was preparing for. She did volunteer work for peace groups and also worked with people who had physical, emotional and mental problems.
During this 'preparation period' and in the midst of many spiritual hills and valleys, she found inner peace - and then Her Mission began!

Her pilgrimage for peace began on the morning of January 1, 1953.She vowed "to remain a wanderer until mankind has learned the way of peace." Peace Pilgrim walked alone and penniless and with no organizational backing. She walked "as a prayer" and as a chance to inspire others to pray and work for peace. She wore navy blue shirt and slacks, and a short tunic with pockets all around the bottom in which she carried her only worldly possessions: a comb, a folding toothbrush, a ballpoint pen, copies of her message and her current correspondence.

After walking 25,000 miles, which took until 1964, she stopped counting miles and speaking became her first priority, although she continued to walk daily.

After Her 1000 mile pilgrimage through New England she wrote:

During the summer of 1958 I walked in the extreme northeastern part of the United States - in New England. I began in Greenwich, Connec

ticut, and ended in Burlington, Vermont — zigzagging a lot in between to touch not only the large towns but also the smaller towns to which I had been invited, and visiting some towns on my way out that I had not been able to walk through on my 1,000 mile pilgrimage. I started among the apple blossoms — I walked among them when they were pink buds and when their falling petals were white as falling snow. I ended among the ripened apples, which supplied me with some very tasty meals. In between I feasted on luscious wild strawberries and blackberries and blueberries. When I started, gardens were fragrant with a magnificent rainbow of spring flowers, and hills and valleys vied with one another in a display of springtime blossoms. I walked amid the peaceful evergreen trees and the lovely graceful white birches, and many times I paused ‘neath the wonderful thick shade of the maples to admire and enjoy the abundant summer blooms. When I ended there were autumn f lowers in the gardens and the first few bright-tinted leaves had appeared on the hillsides. New England is a land of placid lakes and rushing mountain streams and miles and miles of picturesque seacoast with rocks strewn into the sea. New England is a land of hills and mountains, and the less lofty ones are no less scenic than the stately White Mountains of New Hampshire or the rolling Green Mountains of Vermont or the scattered peaks of Maine. Once you have seen New England’s scenic beauty you understand why one of New England’s chief industries is “Tourists”.

Another time She wrote:

''This morning for breakfast I had blueberries covered with dew, picking them from the bushes as I journeyed through the New England mountains, and I thought of my fellow human beings eating various kinds of processed and flavoured foods, and I realized that if I could choose my breakfast from all the foods in the world I could not make a better choice than blueberries covered with dew. Later in the day I took a swim in a clear lake, and afterward, as I put on my simple clothing, I thought of those who have closets full of clothes to take care of, and who carry heavy luggage with them when they travel, and I wondered how people could want to so burden themselves, and I felt wonderfully free. To the world I may seem very poor, walking along penniless and wearing or carrying in my pockets my only material possessions, but I am really rich in blessings which no amount of money could. buy — in health and happiness and inner peace.''

A few years later New England was Blessed once more by the Presence of Dr George King, on a different Mission, perhaps, but leaving behind far more than footprints!

Guide for Pilgrims:

This Holy Mountain, 5,798 feet in the Presidential Range of the White Mountains in New Hampshire, is frequently climbed by pilgrims of The Aetherius society from their Detroit, Michigan Branch, and Toronto, Canada Group who are very familiar and well-informed from personal experience. Having said that, we must give a few words of warning. All the mountains of the Presidential Range are reliably reputed to have some of the worst weather in America. Winds in excess of 243 miles per hour have been recorded there - the highest ever recorded on Earth outside of a tornado or hurricane! Climbers must realise that, despite it's comparatively low elevation for America, this Range MUST BE RESPECTED! Winter-type gear, should be carried at all times of the year!

Pilgrims should approach through the Gorham on state Route 2. They should contact The Appalachian Mountain Club nearby on Route 16 concerning current weather conditions and forecasts, and to confirm previously made reservations at the Madison Hut, about three to five-and-a-half hours climb, depending upon weather and climbers condition. The Madison Hut is usually booked and reservations should be made several months in advance. During its season - from Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day weekend - the Madison Hut is fully staffed and stocked by Club employees. Sleeping accommodation and meals are available for a charge here. Frequent climbers recommend early July to early August as the bet times to climb Mount Adams.

Probably the best trail is the Valley Way Trail from below, north of Mount Adams on route 2, to the Madison Hut. This is the trail used by the club. The Madison Hut is about 1,000 feet below the peak, and just above the tree line at 4,300 feet. At least one hour over very difficult terrain is requested after leaving the hut. The Gulfside Trail to Lowes Path to the summit is the longer and easier trail from the hut, but Airline Trail, which is shorter, may also be used. Check first with the club and follow their advice!
